After finally giving birth to twins Mariah Carey is slowly preparing to hit the main stage once again. According to her hubby Nick Cannon (who spilled the beans), Mimi is planning to drop a new album this year.
“She’s planning on having a record out this year,” says Cannon of Carey, who gave birth to Moroccan Scott Cannon and Monroe Cannon on April 30. According to Cannon, Carey completed a good amount of recording a few months ago during her pregnancy. “She’s been working away, and we have a studio in the crib, and [the pregnancy] has totally inspired her on so many different levels. You’re definitely gonna see some new phenomenal music from Mariah.” – Billboard
It’s going to be quite interesting to see what direction Mariah will go in with this new album. I just hope she stick to her R&B roots. What you can count on is for Mariah to deliver another banging love ballad, after all that’s what she does best!
I can’t wait for Mariah’s Music this year, I agree I think it would be wise for her to go back to RnB, and with the inspiration of having the twins, she could influence some Gospel and inspirational songs too, I think she could maybe record a song like ‘ so blessed’ about Roc and Roe , that would be beautiful, I can just imagine it ! ; Lamb4life !
