Some how I missed this when the press release dropped a few weeks ago, so if you already know my bad. With that said, I get tickled to death when I see Angela & Marcus tear each others throats apart for blood, now we get to see much more of the hilarious duo.
Tyler Perry is bringing the movie couple to TBS with their own show based on their roles in the movie franchise series Why Did I Get Married. However, the sad news is that House of Payne will go”bye bye”. Regardless, Mr. Perry is still #winning.
TBS has picked up a new dramedy from the director-producer-actor called For Better or Worse, a spinoff project from his Why Did I Get Married? movie franchise. The network has ordered 10 episodes of the show, which stars Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith as bickering married couple Marcus and Angela, who first appeared in 2007′s Why Did I Get Married?
TBS is also home to Perry’s comedies House of Payne and Meet the Browns. House of Payne is entering its final season, but Perry is excited about his new venture.
“Even though it will be sad to say goodbye to House of Payne, I’m really looking forward to exploring new territory with For Better or Worse,” he said in a statement from TBS. “Working on House of Payne taught me a lot about what it takes to make a successful television series and I’m looking forward to applying that experience to For Better or Worse.” – USA Today
“Marcus….Marcus….Marcus…..” These two together on the big screen were a force to be reckoned with but on a TV show, they are going to shut the competition down! Lehgo!
