KELLY ROWLAND’S FATHER REACHES OUT: “FORGIVE ME AND LET ME BE YOUR FATHER AGAIN”

It’s no secret that Kelly Rowland did not have the best relationship with her biological father while growing up.  At the young tender age of seven, Kelly’s father Christopher Lovett decided it was best for him to walk away due to his own demons (drinking problems, the inability to provide for his family & his temper issues).

After nearly 30 years he finally got himself together and it looking to mend his failed relationship with her daughter.  Mr. Lovette who is now 65, is looking for forgiveness and is ready to be the father he always wanted to be.  While holding back his tears he pleaded “Kelly, I love you with all my heart. Please forgive me and let me be your dad again.”

Here’s what he had to say:

“I loved her from the moment she took her first breath. I remember as clear as day Kelly and I singing together, from the moment she could talk. Our favourite songs were by Stevie Wonder. I would put one headphone in my ear and the other in hers and we would sing and sing, so happy to be together.

But then I lost my job at a transportation company, sank into a depression about money and began drinking more and more. The failure to provide for my family fuelled an anger that I will be ashamed of until my dying day.

It wasn’t physical between me and Kelly’s mum, but there were many days and nights when Kelly would be bawling her eyes out, clutching my leg begging me, ‘Please daddy stop shouting at mummy’. That image of her howling, begging me to stop will haunt me forever.

I really hoped I would get to make it up to her. Sadly I am still waiting for that day. But I can’t give up hope.  That’s why there is a room in my house which I have decorated especially for Kelly, just in case she comes through the front door.

I own a big home now and have retired so I don’t want any of Kelly’s fortune, I just want her love. I just hope she does not become such a big star in England on X Factor that she forgets about her dad completely.

“I’m getting old now – I just hope she reads this and doesn’t leave getting back in touch with me before it is too late.”

WOW! You can definitely feel how sincere this man is when he speaks about is daughter. I personally do believe that in life in order to move forward sometimes forgiving is the best option in order for you to live your life peacefully.  However that decision ultimately solely relies on Kelly.

I’m sure that are many people have experience this or some type of issue similar in life.   I’m a firm believer that when a person sincerely acknowledges their mistakes that it’s only fair to forgive. This is not to say that you have some sort of relationship with them or anything.

I think her dad said it best he’s getting old and he wants her to forgive him before it’s too late.  Speaking from my own experiences, you never want to wait until its too late to clear the air.
