And they say their isn’t life after BET. Congratulations are in order for former BET Nightly News anchor Jacque Reid. After leaving BET in 2005, the Clark Atlanta graduate has landed herself a new job as a host on WNBC’s “New York Live“.
Sources report, New York Live offers viewers a heavy daily dose of celebrity news and interviews, lifestyle choices, and the latest fashion trends.
Jacque Reid has landed a permanent slot with LX TV’s “New York Live.” Reid, a former BET news anchor, had been doing a variety of fill-in slots at WNBC/Ch. 4, which airs “New York Live” weekdays at 3 p.m. Reid will join a host team that includes Jane Hanson and Sara Gore.
”We are more than thrilled to have Jacque as part of our team,” says Amy Rosenblum, New York Live executive producer. “Jacque brings a great spark to the show with her outspoken commentary and great personality. She is a terrific new addition and will make the show even better than ever.”
Here’s what Jacque had to say:
”I’m very excited to be a part of the already wonderful team at New York Live. I already feel at home working with the crew and I love the great variety of guests I get to interview. The chemistry that we share on set and behind the scenes really takes the show to new heights.”
It’s great to see African-American’s making power moves. I definitely wish here the best in her new position.
