CBS hit daytime show “The Talk” has just even more diverse. Aside from comedian Sheryl Underwood being the only “sista” on the couch, we’ll that’s now officially the past. Word on the street this morning is that comedian/actress Aisha Tyler just landed herself a permanent role as co-host alongside Sheryl.
The actress-comedian will serve as a co-host alongside Julie Chen, show co-creator Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood, starting Monday, Oct. 24th (today).
Tyler becomes the second new co-host on the show, following Underwood, who joined the talker for its second season, which premiered Sept. 6.
Her casting came on the heels of the recent departures of Leah Remini and Holly Robinson. Original co-host Marissa Jaret Winokur also exited early this year. [source]
Good to see more African-American woman making power moves. I just hope her and Sheryl don’t f*ck around & get kicked off over some crazy B.S.! Congrats….
