Get out of here! Are you ready to see communion plates flying across the floor, church hats being thrown & tossed, hoes in the church and a little Jesus in between all of that? Welp! Get ready!
Just when we thought we have seen it all yet another “housewives” series is on the way! But wait! This time it’s going to be slighty different or maybe not.
The TLC network has just announced plans to bring their own series to their network dubbed “The Preacher Wives of Atlanta“. Ummm….yea you heard that right. Can someone please grab that holy water right now!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Scoop:
TLC announced on Tuesday that it’s partnering with True Entertainment, the production company behind The Real Housewives of Atlanta, for a new reality series with the working title Preacher Wives. It will follow the “First Ladies” of Atlanta area churches.
“We are excited to work with TLC to profile the lives of these strong-willed women,” True Entertainment president Steven Weinstock says. “With most praise in religious communities directed towards male preachers, we are thrilled to give these remarkable ladies the spotlight they crave and deserve.”
The series will not only follow the women as they play out their role as preacher’s wives in the congregation, but also give a view of their home lives and how they balance both roles.
TLC has not announce a projected airdate. [source]
So what’s next? “The Real Housewives of Politicians“? But hold on….I would definitely be interested in seeing Bishop Eddie Long’s wife Vanessa Long on this show O_o. I’m sure she would bring some fire to the cast. I’m not too sure how I feel about seeing the “first lady” of a mega church going upside another “first lady’s” dome but then again…..it might be very entertaining.
Sidenote: I wonder if Joel Osteen & his wife Vanessa would be interested in getting a home to ATL so she could be on the cast….hmmm….this show just might be off the hook………..
